I am an illustrator who works in pen and ink and in watercolour. I particularly relish drawing people and animals and love pattern and design.
I studied for a Joint Honours degree in Visual Art and French at Aberystwyth University and am lucky to now be able to combine my life as a translator with that of painting and drawing.
My inspiration often comes from the natural world around me. I enjoy exploring the area around my home in Somerset with my camera in hand - and it is the resulting photographs that I frequently use as a basis for my work.
I love using watercolour because it is a medium that can often do the unexpected, making the completion of each picture a little like a roller-coaster ride!
