I was born in Sheffield, England, but was brought up in the New Forest and have lived for extended periods in both Iran and Hong Kong. I have also travelled widely, visiting countries such as India, Malawi, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, the USA, Zambia and many European countries.
From a very early age I always had a pencil in my hand and displayed a talent for both drawing and painting. My first published works were a series of cartoons depicting life in Hong Kong which were published in 1984 in the Hong Kong Tatler magazine. Some of these cartoons can be seen in the Hong Kong cartoon gallery on my website.
I love to draw and paint all manner of subjects from pet portraits and landscapes to aviation and wildlife using pencils, pens, pastels, charcoal, acrylic and oil paints. Over the past fifteen years I have regularly exhibited in the Mall galleries in London where I have sold many paintings and cartoons.
I am currently an associate member of the Guild of Aviation Artists, where I have exhibited at their annual exhibition for many years, and the Society of All Artists (SAA).
