Evelyn is based in historic Nottinghamshire, close to the Lincolnshire border and these counties inspire many of her landscape paintings. She also paints people, still-life and wild-life. She enjoys experimenting with different media, including acrylic, collage and watercolour. The fluidity and immediacey of pen and ink and watercolour make these her favourite mediums.
After graduating from North Staffordshire Polytechnic with a B.A. Hons. in three-dimentional design and a teaching and art therapy qualification from Birmingham Polytechnic she worked as an art therapist and studio potter untill concentrating entirely on painting and teaching art.
Evelyn writes, 'I am inspired by the sheer beauty of nature and the wonder of the world we live in.'
Evelyn holds exhibitions of her paintings and has won awards for her art.
