I'm Carolyn Murphy, a Manchester-based artist and printmaker specialising in creating linocuts and other original prints. In my work I seek to capture a sense of place and often of escape. I enjoy walking in remote hills, on the coastline and in the city. My sketches form the startpoint of my printmaking work. I love the physical process of printmaking, from cutting lino plates to rolling ink and hand printing.
