Jules Horn presents a vibrant and colourful series of abstract works in acrylics. Working with the 'intuitive' process, the paintings are built up in layers with areas of meditative calm contrasting with vigorous markmaking and calligraphic gestures.
Her popular series of 'sheep' abstracts celebrates the forms and kaleidascopic random placements of the flock - originally an attempt to spark a sense of abstract art appreciation in her sheep farmer husband - this attempt was only marginally sucessful, but unexpectedly sparked a sense of ovine delight in the artist herself!
Her pure abstracts are quite simply a celebration of the miracle of being alive!
