Some years ago I left salaried employment to become a self-employed Artist. I didnt want to have regrets in later life; better to have tried and failed than never to have tried at all!
I am now a professional Artist based in beautiful South Wales. My preferred medium is soft pastel and in this medium I run workshops, do Demonstrations for Art Groups and tutor on painting holidays.
My favourite subject is definitely animals and although I paint in a representational way I love a bit of colour. I often use artistic licence with colour to enhance my paintings and to bring them to life. I love a strong contrast and in my animal portraits this is quite apparent!
