Helen Lanzrein is an artist and children’s book illustrator whose work has been published by Oxford University Press, Orchard Books, Little Tiger Press and throughout the world. She graduated from Anglia Ruskin University in 2001 with a first class honours degree in Illustration. She also has a degree in Silver-smithing and worked for a goldsmith in Switzerland for a number of years.
Her work has been described as atmospheric and magical and is influenced by the specific light of dusk and night, it’s transformative qualities, and fairy tale imagery. She works in soft pastel and charcoal, quite often on coloured Canson and Canford papers.
