I work in kiln-fired enamels on copper and love the
technique of sgraffito in particular, this involves drawing directly in
powdered glass and firing the piece in a kiln at around 800 degrees centigrade.
My enamels are made into jewellery and plaques to decorate boxes and other
items. The style is often quite abstract and follows through to my silk
paintings where a resist is painted on and then colourful dyes are applied. I
am inspired by many things, and people often comment about influences they can
see in my work such as celtic art.
