I love the vibrancy and luminosity of watercolour and my paintings try to capture them with as little fuss as possible. I believe the freshest, paintings are the most appealing - 'less is definitely more' for me! I took up watercolours after my father died a few years ago. He was an excellent watercolourist and I felt I owed it to him, in some way, to have a go myself. Somewhat to my surprise, I discovered I have some of his talent and I now sell prints and originals regularly. I am still experimenting with different subjects, but my favourites are animals, boats, wild flowers and people in action! I have completed a number of commissions of pets as well as a few other subjects. I keep my prices very reasonable as I want those people who like my work to be able to buy it, if at all possible.
